Sony BRAVIA Google TV (X80J / VH2) debloat list

14 packages that owners have disabled on the Sony BRAVIA without breaking it, grouped by what they do. Copy the commands, run them over ADB, and undo any of them with one line.

Tested on: Android 12 (Google TV), EU firmware
Stock home screen: com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx
Connecting with ADB: Settings → System → About → press Android TV OS build seven times, then turn on USB debugging in Developer options.

Read this first

Keep every com.sony.dtv.tvinput.*, braviasync, tvapi and com.mediatek.* package: they drive HDMI, the tuner, Bravia Sync and the remote.
The first group, tv.samba.ssm, is Samba TV's ACR tracker, which fingerprints what is on screen. It is the most worthwhile thing to switch off.
This list was applied on a KD-55X80J one afternoon and has not been tested for weeks yet. If something breaks, re-enable that package with pm enable.

Advanced: packages with side effects (1)

These were also disabled on the tested device, but each one changes how the TV behaves (casting, the remote's mic, apps you may use, or which screen opens on Home). Only disable them after reading the warnings above.
